Iowa West Foundation Grant

Promise Partners has received a three-year commitment ($135,000 total) from Iowa West Foundation to expand our Community Networking initiative in the county. We are entering our 4th year of awarding small grants to youth-led and community-based projects to make the county's communities safer and more supportive for children and families. This initative was created to fund positive projects that create or expand networks and activities for children and youth in their neighborhoods, in turn building lasting relationships between adults, youth and children. The Pottawattamie Youth Council reviews applications. This fits within our Community Partnerships for Protecting Children initative. For an application, click here.

"By working in partnerships that involve the whole community or county, these '100 Best' are proving that being a great place for young people is not just about the fortunes of geography, wealth or size.
